Mrs. April Howard
My name is April Howard and I absolutely love having the honor of being the school counselor at Richlands Elementary School! I was born and raised in Jacksonville, NC and I am proud to be a product of Onslow County Schools. I began my teaching career in 2007 and taught for 9 years before becoming a school counselor in 2016.
I am married to my husband, Craig, and we have two daughters. We are huge Carolina Panthers fans and we love going to as many games as we can. We also love all things Disney.
I truly believe that being a school counselor is what I have been called to do. I love making connections and reaching out to students, building relationships with families and the community, and proactively working with all stakeholders to promote success for all students.
